Introducing: The Casio G-Shock GSTB100XA-1A G-Steel Connected Carbon
by Rhonda Riche – Like Marvel Universe or Star Wars movies, G-Shock fans never have to wait long for a new release from their favorite Casio franchise. But some new launches are more anticipated than others. And the Japanese watchmakers created much buzz when they provided a sneak peek of their newest addition to the G-Steel collection — the GSTB100XA-1A G-Steel Connected Carbon — at COUTUREtime in Las Vegas
Statement Pieces, A Recap of the 2018 COUTURE Design Awards
by Rhonda Riche – Las Vegas has always been a beacon in the desert for glamor, glitz and big dreams. And this year’s COUTURE show attracted some of the brightest lights in the jewelry and watch business. While Watchonista was at the exhibition to bring you the best new timepieces at COUTURETIME at the Wynn, we also paid a visit or two to the jewelry side, where over 200 exhibitors displayed their finest works.
Introducing: The Oris Divers Sixty-Five RedBar Limited Edition
by Adam Craniotes – It should go without saying that Oris is a brand that RedBar members just “get”. No pretense, no fluff, just solid watches that do what they say on the tin, so to speak. Even better, the people behind the name – from North American CEO, VJ Geronimo, to global CEO, Rolf Studer – both men couldn’t be more passionate about their product, or the people who buy them. Indeed, one could say that Oris “gets” RedBar as much as we get them. To this end, we’ve worked together on the launch of their now iconic Carl Brashear Divers 65 LE, as well as the Big Crown D.26 286 HB-RAG LE (say that five times fast) and have collaborated on a myriad of events here in the United States and abroad.

A Stitch in Time: Two Of Our Favorite Fashion Watches From COUTUREtime
by Rhonda Riche – Watchonista is at COUTURE this weekend and while the show is about jewelry and watches, we would be remiss if we didn’t discuss timepieces from two of the world’s biggest fashion houses: Dior and Gucci. For decades, fashion watches were treated as an afterthought. Some, like Dior, had their timepieces manufactured by respected watchmakers, such as Bulova. Others merely licensed off their names and the resulting watches had very little in common with the stylistic direction of the brands.
Beyond The Wrist: Five Cool Jewels Watch Lovers Could Appreciate
by Barbara Palumbo – The COUTUREtime show in Las Vegas is just a few days away and will house exhibiting Swiss, German, and Japanese watch brands the likes of Montblanc, Omega, Zenith, Grand Seiko, and several others. But what those attending the show don’t realize is that while the aforementioned brands have found their place at a venue that might actually give Baselworld a run for its money in the U.S. market pretty soon, COUTUREtime is *technically* only three years old. Let me explain...
